Anxiety and Depression

I have been struggling of late and after first diagnosis in 2002 of depression.
Anxiety has heightened past six months, To a point where last week I thought about taking my own life.

I have been told to speak to a GP regarding mental health disability. Never heard of it before and any advice please?
Never considered myself “disabled” but I have been struggling to do anything for months even stopped going for a walk.

Welcome! I'm sorry to hear you are struggling so much. What country do you live in? I'm in the US and currently get SSI benefits. I don't really know anything about benefits in other countries but in the US they do give benefits for mental health conditions if they are severe enough.
