2 c. grated raw potatoes

1 egg

1/2 tsp. salt

3/4 c. flour

Chopped onion

Butter

Drain and squeeze the grated potatoes. Add egg, salt and flour. Form into small balls or drop by teaspoonful into a large kettle of boiling, salted water.

Cover, bring to a boil and cook until they float. Transfer dumplings with a slotted spoon onto a hot platter. Saute onions with butter and pour over the

dumplings.
