Feeling so down

I think with the COVID many of us are feeling depressed because of the lockdown and being unable to go to work.
Like Foxy says maybe look into doing some voluntary work.
 
How about some online courses? Learn Sign Language or a foreign language. Let this shut in time work for you. When it ends, you'll have a new, useful skill you can be proud of.
 
That's a good thing to increase your knowledge about. I'll bet there are YouTube videos and things you can read about online to help you broaden your understanding. When the pandemic ends, and it surely will, you can apply your new found knowledge helping SEN kids again. :)
 
But even as an aid, it's good to know more about the children you are helping. You seem to have a real interest.

I'm sure this isn't true. I expect you're more intelligent than you give yourself credit for - but, whatever the case, you don't need to be intelligent to learn a foreign language. (You need to be prepared to put in a lot of time and effort, but if you're willing to do that, then it should come to you :) )

Anyway, sorry to hear you've been feeling down, and I hope things improve for you soon.
