I just find it hard to believe that some of those people have been in business that long and are still clueless.
That's what gives it the feel of being totally scripted, which I imagine it is. Just never could buy the premise for that reason. Pawn Stars got to be way too much that way as well, it's why I stopped watching.

Yeah I've been there a few times myself. before the show started though.
 
It's okay to watch but once you see the formula of the show, it's hard to not get bored when the next one comes on. Star goes in, yells at the owners, then tries to be their friend, etc... I like to watch to learn how to do new things with food and to see how people on the other side have it hard so I can be more empathetic when I order my food. I also like to see the makeovers at the end.
