Bar Rescue

TLDR: Bar Rescue
The forum thread discusses viewers' opinions about a TV show. The original poster, safeinsanity, expresses enjoyment in watching the show and mentions recording episodes to skip commercials. Another user, Guest, agrees that skipping commercials is necessary for enjoyable TV viewing. Ozzy47, however, shares a more critical view, suggesting that the show feels staged and expressing skepticism about the realism of the participants' business acumen. This sentiment is echoed by Guest, who compares the show to Pawn Stars, suggesting both might be scripted. Lammchen adds that the show's formula can become repetitive but appreciates the educational and empathetic aspects of watching, as well as the transformations featured in the show. Overall, the discussion highlights mixed feelings about the show's authenticity and entertainment value.
I just find it hard to believe that some of those people have been in business that long and are still clueless.
That's what gives it the feel of being totally scripted, which I imagine it is. Just never could buy the premise for that reason. Pawn Stars got to be way too much that way as well, it's why I stopped watching.

Pawn stars is actually a slum compared to what you see on the show. A few people I know visited there when they went to Vegas.

Yeah I've been there a few times myself. before the show started though.

It's okay to watch but once you see the formula of the show, it's hard to not get bored when the next one comes on. Star goes in, yells at the owners, then tries to be their friend, etc... I like to watch to learn how to do new things with food and to see how people on the other side have it hard so I can be more empathetic when I order my food. I also like to see the makeovers at the end.
