Age and Depression?

If you've been diagnosed with depression since a young age, do you find that it has gotten worse as you get older, about the same or are you doing better (hopefully)?

I was never diagnosed with depression at a young age, it wasn't until I was in my mid to late 20s that I became aware that I was depressed but that had a lot to do with the fact that I was in a mentally abusive relationship at the time.

Unfortunately, that has left me with some mental health issues one of them being depression so I would say it has got worse since I got older but I am finding it easier to manage.

I have been depressed all my life with it getting worse as I age. Quitting video games has helped some but I'm still depressed almost every day.

I have also been diagnosed since a very young age (about 7 or 8) - it has gotten worse...and better as I got older, if that makes any sense at all.

Less frequent but more severe.

Not me my depression is 100x worse now that I am older. I have a lot more worries especially having rent, buying food etc., I am on a fixed income which doesn't leave much money for anything else.

I genuinely believe in doing things good for the soul to relieve depression. Just eat good food, be nice to your parents , and live gently
