Is it possible to add this forum to google so more people can find it? Even typing in the forum name doesnt make it come up?

The forum is more or likely on Google already but because the forum is pretty new it could take some time to move up the ranks.
Mental health is a widely searched name to type into Google, there will be millions of sites with the name in it.
I think it goes by activity and posts on the forum for the forum to become popular
How many pages did you go through to find it?
I just put the url in Google search

The more a forum has content & puts their URL in different places (hence why affiliate exchanges are very helpful), the more search bots come to the forum.
