4 cups blackberries (or substitute with raspberries, blueberries OR mulberries)
1/4 cup melted butter
½ teaspoon lemon juice
1-2 tablespoons brown sugar (depending on the sweetness of your berries)
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup all purpose flour + 2 Tablespoons, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup milk

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
2. In a large bowl, gently toss berries with butter and lemon juice. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and 2 Tablespoons of flour. Gently stir into
berry mixture.
3. Pour berries into the bottom of a greased 8-inch x 8-inch baking pan.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, ¾ cup flour, salt, baking powder, and milk. Pour the batter over top of the fruit.
5. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
