Tony Todd plays the titular character with the hook for a hand. Say his name five times in the mirror and he will appear to exact his revenge! Yea so this is a take on the old Bloody Mary legend but it works well enough. Todd is great and hams it up every chance he gets and is clearly having fun with the role. There’s plenty of blood and guts on show here for the gore hounds and the soundtrack adds a playful yet menacing atmosphere to the film. Direction is a bit muddled at times and there’s some inconsistencies with the quality of the camera work, but by and large this is a fun flick.
