What the badges mean? Are they forum punishments like fractions?

one got hid in my notifications i just seen it idk if it something to worry about

They are awarded for how long you have been a member. don't think @Lee has finished setting them up yet though
If you want them displayed on your profile then go to your profile and choose "badges" then the option is there to display them
