Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies
3 sticks butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs. Beat with mixer on medium. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by level 1/4 cupfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with fork. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, or until light brown. Cool on pans for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
