Types Of Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are never fun. I have a sister that has issues with wanting to eat certain things all the time. The eating habits originated to help her feel better, but I feel like she eats those items, out of habit now. It is a little concerning, considering her weight and health isn't the best.

I'm glad that the article mentioned orthorexia. My daughter went through that toward the end of her eating disorder of anorexia/bulimia because she was convincing herself that she was getting healthier. But she wasn't really, she just traded one control for another. I'm glad she allows herself now to splurge on foods that she likes to eat. She's doing really well.

When I was in my teens I had overeating disorder or binge eating disorder. I did not realize that I had a Compulsive eating disorder, I just thought that I was growing rapidly and my body needed more food. I knew about my disorder when I read an article by a psychiatrist. My disorder vanished automatically.
