popcorn balls
one third cup light corn syrup
one third cup water
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
one fourth cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
food coloring if desired
7 cups popped corn
Measure syrup and watter in 4 cup measure. Add sugar, salt and butter. Cook, uncovered in microwave, 11 minutes or 250 degrees, hard ball stage, stirring once. Add vanilla and food coloring. Pour in a thin stream over popped popcorn in a buttered bowl; mix well. With buttered hands shape popcorn into balls. Makes 10 to 12 balls
