Pizza Fritters

Pizza Fritters
5-1/2 ounces buttermilk
2 ounces sour cream
1 egg
3-1/2 ounces bologna or hot dogs
3-1/2 ounces mushrooms
1 onion
1 bunch green onions
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Salt
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
5-6 tablespoons sifted flour
Fry mushrooms in oil until they release moisture. Finely chop and combine
onion, green onions, sausage and mushrooms. Beat in egg, pour in buttermilk
and sour cream and mix well. Add baking soda. Season to taste with salt.
Blend in Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Add enough flour to reach the
consistency of thick sour cream. Drop tablespoon portions of batter into a
skillet with hot oil, cover and cook over low heat for about a minute. Turn
over and fry for about 30 seconds.
