3 c. fresh peaches, pared and sliced

1/3 c. sugar

2 c. flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. butter

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. finely chopped pecans



Place peaches and sugar in blender and process until pureed (about 2 1/4 cups). Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.

Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and butter and cream well. Add eggs and mix. Add peach puree and dry ingredients, mixing just until moist. Stir in nuts and vanilla.

Spoon into 2 buttered and floured loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in pan and then turn out on rack.
