KANSAS CITY STEW
This is an interesting soup with a delicious gravy base.
GRAVY:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
2 c. hot water
Mix over low heat and cook until thickens.
Add to the gravy: 2 lbs. brown hamburger 2 c. or more can tomatoes (i use a qt.) 1 c. diced onion 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables 2 c. diced celery 1 c. diced carrots 1 tbsp. Accent seasoning Salt and pepper to taste
(I also use potatoes of my own but I cook them a little before I put them in.)
Continue cooking over low heat until vegetables are done. Serve when ready.
