Jan's Chili
1 pound lean ground beef
1 envelope simply organic seasoning, Hot Chili seasoning
1 teaspoon powdered cocoa, make sure there are no lumps
1 can kidney beans, undrained
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 half cup diced celery
1 half cup red and green peppers, chopped
1 half cup chopped onions
1 clove garlic minced
Thoroughly brown the hamburger, celery, onions and peppers, and add chili seasoning, cocoa powder, extra cumin and chili powder if desired, , and pressed garlic and mix thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and stirr thoroughly. Cover and simmer on low for about an hour. You can eat it after fifteen minutes, but the flavors will blend better if you simmer it for an hour. You can also put it all in the crockpot and simmer it. Serve with shredded mild cheddar cheese, chopped onions and corn chips.
