Do You Collect Anything

TLDR: Do You Collect Anything

Ozzy47 initiated the discussion by mentioning their extensive collection of fridge magnets from various countries, accumulated through personal travels or gifts from friends. Diane15, kikipetie, and toetapping shared their focus on specific themes in their collections, such as Disney items, cats, and butterflies, respectively. Butterfly88 collects butterfly-themed postage stamps and various postcards, boasting significant numbers in both categories. Emerald collects porcelain thimbles from different places, while ShadowSeesaw enjoys collecting items related to dragonflies and BTS merchandise. Foxy discussed past collections, including elephants and inherited collections of teddy bears and dolls. A guest mentioned a more casual approach to collecting vintage items like Care Bears and My Little Pony, only purchasing when visiting antique stores. In contrast, Pitszal and marti expressed disinterest in collecting, citing a dislike for clutter. Overall, the thread highlights a variety of collecting interests, ranging from thematic to opportunistic, with a few users expressing no interest in the hobby.
I collect fridge magnets and have done for years, I must have a couple of thousand of them. most of them are from different countries and places that I have visited or if I know someone that I know that goes on holiday/vacation then I will ask them to bring me one back :)

I collect butterfly, moth, and caterpillar postage stamps. I have over 1,000 different ones. I also collect all kinds of postcards, I probably have about 2,000 postcards.

I stopped collecting years ago but I still have my elephant collection and my inherited teddy bear and Madame Alexander dolls collections.

I collect whales & dolphins (duh lol) but also some vintage i.e. Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony. I don't go out looking for them per se. Just if we go to an antique store & they have some, I may add.
