Caramel Fudge Cake
Try it with a buttery yellow cake mix too!
1 (18.25 ounce) box chocolate cake mix
1 stick butter
1 (14 ounce) package caramels
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chopped pecans
Prepare cake mix according to package directions; pour 2 cups of batter into a greased 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter and caramels. Remove from heat. Add sweetened condensed milk; stir well. Pour over cake; spread remaining cake batter over caramel mixture. Sprinkle with pecans; bake for an additional 30 minutes. Cool before serving.
Makes 15 servings.
