NAN'S CARAMEL LAYER CHOCOLATE SQUARES

14 oz Package Light Caramels
1/3 cup Evaporated Milk
1 German Chocolate German Cake Mix
1/2 cup Evaporated Milk
1 cup Chopped Nuts
3/4 butter
1 cup Chocolate Chips


Combine caramels and 1/3 cup milk and melt over low heat. Grease and flour a
13 X 9-inch pan.
In a large bowl, combine dry mix, butter, 1/2 cup milk and nuts. Spread 1/2
of mixture in baking pan.

Bake at 350°F for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chips and then spread caramel over.
Then crumble rest of cake mix on top.

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool slightly and then refrigerate for at least
30 minutes. Cut into 36 bars.
