BULGARIAN APPLE CAKE

1 large apple, yellow soft apples work well

1-2 tbsp. butter

2 eggs

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup flour

2 tsp. dry milk

3 tbsp. milk

1 tbsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Whipped cream, optional

Preheat oven to 350. Peel and slice apple into thin slices. Place pan in oven with butter, when butter is melted, take the pan out. In a large mixing bowl,

beat the eggs with the sugar until it rises. Add the melted butter, flour, dry milk, milk, baking powder, vanilla and cinnamon, beat at low speed until

well mixed. Place one layer of apple slices in the pan and pour over cake mixture.

Bake until golden brown, or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely before removing from pan. Place on cake dish. Serve with whipped cream

if desired.
