1: Must not be afraid of the dark
2: Is ok with bats 🦇
3: Is ok with somewhat cold and moist conditions
4: Is not afraid of enclosed spaces
5: Is not allergic to leather

I've done it a couple of times, so I'd be okay with it if they were reasonably local (which I'd consider to be "anywhere within the UK or Ireland"), and we weren't in the middle of a pandemic :P .
 
I have in the past met people from online. Indeed, my wife.

I think you really need to be sure that it’s safe and worth the trouble.

Really get to know the person first. Have a zoom meeting.
Exchange an official document with a picture on.
Tell someone where you’re going, when, why and who.
Meet in a public place first.

Those who are vulnerable or underage should triple the above precautions.
