San Antonio Burgers

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 cup picante sauce, plus extra for topping
3/4 cup quick cooking oats, uncooked
1 small onion, chopped
1 egg
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
6 hamburger buns

Preheat grill or broiler.
In a large bowl, combine beef, picante sauce, oats, onion, egg, chili
powder, salt and black pepper.
Shape into 6 patties.
Grill or broil 4 -5 minutes on each side, or until no longer pink inside.
Serve on buns with additional picante sauce.
