Oma’s Plum Torte
1/4 c. soft butter
2 eggs
Vanilla
1/4 lb. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour
Dash lemon juice or lemon extract
Filling:
Halved Italian prune plums
Flour
3 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
1 c. sugar
Mix first 2. Add next 5. Pat into an 8” sq. pan reserving some dough for lattice. Combine filling ingredients. Pile in crust and add lattice. Bake at 350F. Looks ugly but tastes great.
