Meet Wally the Emotional Support Gator

TLDR: Meet Wally the Emotional Support Gator
The forum thread discusses a video shared by user Foxy, featuring an alligator as a pet. Catsmother finds the video touching, while mist and Guest express concerns about the safety and appropriateness of keeping wild animals as pets. Sweet Ann and others are uneasy about the idea of living near such animals, despite Foxy explaining that the alligator, named Wally, is domesticated and raised from birth. The conversation touches on the unpredictability of domesticated wild animals and the legal implications of owning them. Overall, opinions vary, with some admiring the unique pet choice and others cautioning against the potential dangers.
He raised all his animals from birth @Sweet Ann, they are all domesticated. Although I love all animals, reptiles, and in particular alligators, wouldn't be my choice for a pet. To each his/her own I guess. Wally does seem, however, to be a very docile, unusually passive gator.

As you said, @Foxy, to each his/her own. Even though his animals are domesticated, you never know if an animal could turn on you.

I still wouldn’t want to live next door to anyone with domesticated formerly wild animals.

There is some one not that far from where I live who has a domesticated very large unattractive boar living with them. I don’t even like looking at it.

I wonder if someone needs paperwork to own a domesticated, formerly wild animal? I assume you would, depending on where you live.

As others have said he IS a wild animal no matter if he is now domesticated. He can 'turn' on you at any time , and then what?
