Iodine and Mental Health

TLDR: Iodine and Mental Health
The forum thread discusses the importance of iodine for thyroid health, with users sharing personal experiences and opinions on iodine supplementation. Jaminhealth advocates for the use of liquid iodine, suggesting that many people may not be receiving adequate iodine, particularly due to the consumption of fluoridated water which can deplete the body's iodine. They also mention the use of Iosol Iodine and suggest eating kelp as potential iodine sources. Additionally, they link to a blog that discusses the connection between iodine and mental health. Nomad points out that the government has previously addressed iodine deficiency by introducing iodized salt, yet notes that thyroid issues remain prevalent in the population. This suggests a continuing concern about adequate iodine intake and thyroid health management.
Many here may be on wrong thyroid med or none at all and many can get help with even a drop or so of liquid iodine daily. Best to find the RIGHT doctor but some here I believe are having an issue there.

And know that those drinking fluoridated water are having iodine pulled from their body.....our body tissues NEED iodine, breasts for sure.

And MANY don't eat iodine rich foods...

Here's a blog that explains a lot on this issue and I have been taking Iosol Iodine for probably 15 yrs, 1 drop most days. 2 drops in the beginning when I started.

I'm not a doctor but I've been thru so much on this thyroid, depression and Iodine issue.

Some could even get help with eating some kelp daily or every other day...gotta experiment.

Our government introduced iodized salt in order to curb the complications resulting from iodine deficiency. Years later, a large population is suffering from thyroid problems.
