If you are recovered from having an eating disorder, how long did it take you?
My daughter was told by her psychiatrist it would take 6 years. That horrified my daughter because she wanted it gone! She went to a therapist who was not as "qualified" but actually did better for my daughter in that she didn't treat her as an eating disorder patient but instead as a teenager who had problems with relationships. In 2 years she recovered and hasn't turned back since then thankfully. It's been over a decade.
