I was under the medication for hypertension

About two years, when my blood pressure was abnormally high for a long time, a cardiologist I visited recommended me two medicines, one, for controlling my blood pressure, another, for reducing my lipids. I took medicines for one year but then decided to try alternative healing methods like dietary modification and yoga. Now, I don't take medicines and my blood pressure is just fine.

You see, the routine you took which is via yoga, and dietary modification helped you to bounce off through high blood pressure (HBP). Such kind of strategy is a better choice, everything isn't about drugs to get healed.

Did you lose weight as well and maybe reduce your sodium intake? Diet can play a huge role sometimes for people to get off their blood pressure meds.

I first focused on cutting my sodium intake and shed a few pounds. Yoga helped me to reduce weight. I also started following the diet pattern recommended by a yoga guru and it helped me to control my lipids

I struggled so hard to NOT get on BP meds, and now on them about 20 yrs or a little less and wouldn't dream of
getting off them. I know of no side effects..

Well done for reducing BP.

I take BP meds, I take so much medication they can keep adding, I'm at least creating jobs!😂 I avoided BP meds for a while, felt much better taking them.

Just know BP changes about every minute, with every thought, action, dreams all of it, one is smart
to get into habit of daily meditation, even short medications are important. My BP goes up so
frigging high in doc's office and then when they take it later, it's down.....so be aware of your BP
