How to remove negative thoughts?

TLDR: How to remove negative thoughts?
In the forum thread, Nomad discusses the impact of harboring negative thoughts, suggesting that they can lead to severe mental health issues or a transformation into a metaphorical "monster." Nomad personally uses yoga and meditation to manage and eliminate these thoughts, promoting better emotional and psychological health. Lammchen responds by considering the origins of negative thinking, attributing it to difficulties in problem-solving and an inability to dismiss minor issues. Lammchen observes this pattern in online friends who struggle significantly with negativity, despite being advised to "let it go." Lammchen also reflects on their own perspective, noting an ability to see both positive and negative aspects of situations, and questions whether this balanced viewpoint renders them neutral. Overall, the discussion highlights the challenges of dealing with persistent negative thoughts and various approaches to mitigating their impact, including personal introspection and mindfulness practices.
Do you know negative thoughts are the rules of evil in you? If you brood over negative thoughts too much you will either become a monster or become mentally sick. How do you remove negative thoughts from your mind? As far as I am concerned, I do yoga and meditation to ease my mind and promote emotional and psychological health.

I think having a lot of negative thoughts can come from a habit of not being able to work through problems as well as not being able to let things go. I have some friends online who are completely negative on many things and it bothers me to see them suffer that way. But they can't let go. Even with little things, they can't let it go. People have told them to let it go but they get upset because to them it's entirely important..when it's just a little thing. So I'm not sure what can be done to get them to not focus on negative things.

As for me, I'm the type of person who can see both sides of a situation and that leaves me with both positivity and negativity. Does that make me neutral? :D
