Hillshire Farm Taco Salad Special
Spicy sausage, cooling cheese, and ripe produce makes this cool pasta salad a flavorful addition to your dinner.
Serving: 6
1 7-oz. pkg. (2 cups) elbow macaroni, uncooked
½ pound Smoked Sausage (any variety), diced
½ cup green onions, sliced
½ cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
½ cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup ripe pitted olives, sliced
1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
1 medium avocado, peeled and chopped
1 4-oz. can green chiles, diced and drained
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup water
3 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
1 teaspoon salt
Lettuce leaves
Crushed corn chips
1. Prepare elbow macaroni according to package directions; drain.
2. In large bowl, combine macaroni, Smoked Sausage and next 7 ingredients; Mix well.
3. In small bowl, blend oil, water, taco seasoning mix and salt.
4. Add to macaroni mixture; toss to coat. Cover; chill thoroughly.
5. Stir gently; place in individual lettuce lined bowls. Top with crushed corn chips. Refrigerate leftovers.
