Grandma Sarah’s Potato Salad Dressing

1 beaten egg
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. butter

Cook first 6 together until thickened. Add butter. Cool. Thin with mayonnaise. Enough for 1 qt. potatoes.
