Feeling Anxiety in Crowded Restaurant

TLDR: Feeling Anxiety in Crowded Restaurant
In the forum thread, users discuss their experiences with social anxiety in crowded places, particularly restaurants. Overcast shares a personal account of feeling anxious and spaced out when a restaurant is full, questioning if others feel the same in such social scenarios. Nomad responds by reflecting on past experiences with social anxiety during adolescence, noting that it was often mistaken for mere shyness but was eventually overcome with age. Soulwatcher echoes the discomfort of being in crowded restaurants, mentioning a preference to leave when there are too many people. Overall, the thread highlights a common challenge among individuals with social anxiety when navigating crowded social environments.
I have experienced this recently. I went to the restaurant. And it was full. None of the people there were solo. And that caused a lot of anxiety to me. I have noticed that when the people are full in the places. It becomes kind of feeling of spaced out and leads to anxiety atleast for me. I can't say the same for others.

Have you experienced something like this in social scenario?

I had this issue when I was in my early teens but I gradually overcome my issues as I grew older. Back then I did not know how I had social anxiety, everyone called me a shy boy and they thought it was normal. A lot of people mistake social anxiety with being intimidated.
