Favorite shoes for hiking/running

TLDR: Favorite shoes for hiking/running
In the forum thread, user Lammchen initiates a discussion about preferred brands of shoes for hiking, walking, and running. Lammchen shares a positive experience with Cabela's hiking shoes, noting their comfort and lack of blisters even when new. Conversely, Lammchen mentions a negative experience with another unnamed brand of boots that caused blisters quickly despite being aesthetically pleasing and providing good ankle support. The thread invites others to share their own favorite shoe brands and experiences.
What brand shoes are your favorite for hiking/walking/running?

I like the Cabela's name brand hiking shoes myself. They are easy to wear the first time I put them on and don't give me any blisters. I had gotten a name brand boot a couple years ago that I couldn't even wear for a mile before a blister would form. I was sad because they looked really good and were so stable around my ankles. But they're worthless to me now.
