Easy Cherry Cream Pie

Makes 8 servings.

One pint of vanilla ice cream, softened,

One half package (16 ounce) frozen dark sweet cherries, chopped

one cup whipped cream

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

1/8 teaspoon almond extract

1 (6 ounce) chocolate crumb or graham cracker pie crust

Combine ice cream and cherries in a large bowl, just until blended.

Beat cream, powdered sugar and almond extract in a medium bowl with an electric mixer

at medium speed until soft peaks form.

Spoon ice cream mixture in to the pie crust.

Spoon whipped cream mixture evenly on top.

Freeze for one hour, or until firm.

Let stand at room temperature for ten minutes before serving.
