Easiest-Ever Cheesecake

Friends will think you spent hours on this simple cheesecake.

12-oz. pkg. vanilla wafers, crushed

1 c. plus 2 T. sugar, divided

1/2 c. butter, melted

2 8-oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened

12-oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Combine vanilla wafers, 2 tablespoons sugar and butter; press into the bottom of a 13"x9" baking pan. In a separate bowl, cream remaining sugar and cream cheese together; fold in whipped topping. Spread over wafer crust; chill until firm. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
