Easiest-Ever Cheesecake
1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers, crushed
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
1 stick butter, melted
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (12 ounce) tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
Combine vanilla wafers, 2 tablespoons sugar and butter; press into 9 by 13 inch baking pan. In a separate bowl, combine remaining sugar and cream cheese; beat with mixer until creamy. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over wafer crust; chill until firm.
Makes 12 to 15 servings.
