Do you think crying helps?

Studies have found that crying releases oxytocin and endogenous opioids. These chemicals help to ease emotional and physical pain. Therefore, crying helps when you are in psychological and emotional pain.
Actully, I know a lot of people who cry as therapy. They weep when they are sad, frustrated, angry, lonely, or in pain. After a while they feel better.

I believe crying helps to me, because when I feel the need of breaking down when something's bothering me or when I've been bullied by someone in a very toxic environment like what happened to me 2 years ago.

Sorry to hear you went through such a difficult time 2 years ago @NerdiestKen . I really hope things have got better for you now.

Crying helps me a lot too, although I do find it takes up a lot of energy and I'm often exhausted afterwards if I cry for a long time. I normally find it very cathartic.
