Do you fake your mental conditions?

TLDR: Do you fake your mental conditions?
In the forum thread, Nomad discusses experiencing occasional overwhelming stress, anxiety, and depression, but chooses not to disclose these issues broadly due to concerns about being misunderstood. Nighttimelaughter responds by sharing that they also conceal their mental health struggles from certain people, specifically their father, due to a lack of understanding and empathy. Nighttimelaughter mentions having a very small, supportive circle, including a cohabitant who understands their mental health issues, highlighting a contrast in how different individuals in one's life may respond to disclosures of mental health struggles.
I do not have any serious mental health issues. However, once in a while I am overwhelmed with issues like stress, anxiety, depression, etc. Whenever I am battling with these issues, I never show myself that I have any mental health issues. That's because a lot of people will misunderstand you when you tell them that you have mental health issues.

no I don’t, but I have a small circle of people in my life a very small circle and the person I live with is very understanding of my mental health and the only people I hide it from was my dad to be honest, my dad would say “I wish I had time to be depressed” 😑 so I wasn’t ever gonna open up to him.
