I've often wondered about this! I think we tend to think of these things from a human perspective, but it makes sense the way that cats are created in that they have the ability to breed often and have a short gestation period, so they don't bond as much with their babies like humans do.

My daughter's dog had puppies before she was rescued and we often wonder if she remembers her babies!

I think as long as the kittens are fully weaned, both Mother and her babies are OK to move on, hopefully to a great life with their human caregivers.

We have raised cats for many years, based on my understanding and observation, Mama cats become sad when you send away kittens less than 12 weeks for adoption. However, once the mana cat is ready to mate, she does not mind sending away her kittens because kittens will cause her a lot of trouble.

I've seen this video before and in fact last night my wife and I were talking about this. At first they probably do miss them, but then they start getting annoyed by them. xD I think they become way too much for her.
