Daiquiri Punch

The cool and refreshing rum-based daiquiri became popular in the United States after the world wars and Prohibition made whiskey harder to come by. Serving from a punch bowl was the rage in the 1950s and is finding a renewed interest today!

Betty's Do-Ahead Tip

Mix the limeade concentrate, sports drink and rum, and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Your punch will be well chilled, and you won't rush at the last minute to prepare it.

Betty's Kitchen Tip

Add holiday color and flavor to your punch with flavored ice cubes or small ice molds. Arrange small lime slices and maraschino cherry halves in ice cube trays or small molds. Pour lime-flavored sports drink over the fruit and freeze at least 2 hours.
