Cherry Soda Slushie
It’s not easy to find a convenience store with slushies on tap—and when you do, they never have your favorite flavor. If you want to enjoy an old-fashioned slushie at home, all you need are a few key ingredients and a blender.
Yield: 1 serving
2 cups crushed ice
1 cup Dr. Pepper (or your favorite soda)
½ teaspoon maraschino cherry juice (or grenadine syrup)
1–2 tablespoons cherry-flavored drink powder
Place ice, soda, cherry juice, and drink powder (1 tablespoon for sweet, 2 tablespoons for extra-sweet) in a blender. Pulse until smooth and pour into a tall glass.
WOW FACTOR
Vintage glassware and mason jars are both great choices when you want to serve this frozen treat with true retro style. Add a colorful straw and slurp away!
