Baked Barbecue Chicken

Baked Barbecue Chicken

Heather RileyJohnston, IA

This was one of the first dishes I made for my husband when we were newlyweds...he still requests it 7 years later!

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 c. all-purpose flour

6 to 7 bacon slices

8-oz. can mushroom pieces, drained

1-1/2 c. barbecue sauce

Coat chicken breasts in flour; arrange in an ungreased 13"x9" baking pan. Lay bacon across tops of chicken; bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Drain. Add mushroom pieces; pour barbecue sauce on top. Bake 15 minutes longer. Serves 4.
