Amish Goulash Recipe

Amish Goulash Recipe
1 cup elbow macaroni

Boiling water

1 pound ground beef

1 tablespoon minced onion

1 (2 ounce) can mushrooms, undrained

1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 cup water

1 can corn, drained, optional

Place macaroni in small bowl. Cover with boiling water: let set. While macaroni blanches, cook ground beef and onion in heavy saucepan. Drain fat. Drain macaroni and add to meat along with mushrooms, tomato sauce, ketchup, seasonings, and water. Mix thoroughly. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. You could also cook it in the microwave for 10 minutes.
