Upcoming Gyno Appt!

TLDR: Upcoming Gyno Appt!
In the forum thread, Naiwen discusses her preference for a female gynecologist and mentions her intention to change birth control pills due to dissatisfaction with her current ones. Lavalamp and Butterfly88 express support and good wishes for her upcoming appointment. The discussion then shifts slightly when Nomad questions the issue with male gynecologists, sharing a personal anecdote to suggest that gender does not affect professional capability in this field. Lammchen responds by highlighting that some patients might feel more comfortable with a female gynecologist due to modesty concerns. Naiwen later updates that she has changed her medication and is feeling better, appreciating the recognition of the need to adjust birth control over time due to changes in her body. The thread reflects a mix of personal preferences regarding the gender of healthcare providers and the importance of finding suitable medical treatments based on individual body responses.
My gynecologist is a woman, thank god. It's the annual chek-up routine. I think I'd love to change my birth control pills, because the new ones aren't working perfectly with my body after almost a year of using them.

Is there a problem when the gyno is a man? I took my spouse to a gyno and he was a man. I did not see ny problem, my spouse did not see any problem either. It was just a medical issue.

Sometimes having a male as a gynecologist can be embarrassing because there is no modesty and it's easier to have a female be the doctor.

Naiwen, I think by now you've changed your meds and are feeling better on them? I do think you're onto something that birth control sometimes has to be changed because your body changes over the years as well. It's good that you recognize it and can speak with your doctor about it.

I’m doing better, thanks @Lammchen.
