uni students ignored-again!

the country's going back into lockdown and yet again university students are completely ignored and forgotten with the lockdown announcement.
i'm not asking for any kind of special treatment, but with A Levels and GCSEs and college exams being cancelled/extended/students receiving help, i don't think it's too much to ask for us to be considered too. every other level of schooling is being considered and the difficulty for them to sit exams is being recognised-but why not us?? i understand we're "adults" but we never seem to be treated like that!

even outside of the mental health crisis-we are paying 9k a year to better our lives, and we aren't receiving anything close to what we paid for. in any place other than uni, as a paying adult not receiving the experience/education you pay for would be seen as unacceptable-but because we’re young adults we’re just treated like we’re whiney children.

every student i've spoken to is struggling, but no one is doing anything about it. it's so hard to care about work when it feels like the university and the countrys leaders don't care in return. i've never seen student morale so low
if you have a student in your life, check up on them. it's difficult at the moment and no one seems to notice or care.

Agreed, I feel sorry for anyone in university and all the people who have lost their jobs. very sad times. Looks like we have another year of these restrictions.

it's awful i am glad for another lockdown because i understand there wasn't really any other option and it was definitely necessary
but for all of the government's talk about saving the economy and keeping money in people's pockets, they sure don't seem to help the people who need it.
i really hope everyone can get through ok. it's horrible to see everyone suffer and not even be able to pop over for a cup of tea and a hug. i'm so used to being able to go to university friends houses when things go wrong because we're usually in the same city-but everyone's so scattered and it's the worst time for it. i'll be surprised if anyone feels ok after this is all over

Yeah if anything it will have a big impact on peoples mental health.
Myself I don't mind the lockdown as I don't like socialising anyway.

yeah-i don't usually like socialising too much but it's nice while at university, if only because it makes me come outof my shell a little, haha! sometimes i can be convinced to go out for a coffee after class and thats all my socialisation for the week
mostly though i just want some reassurance that if my grades suffer i might be compensated a little, because that was a policy in place last year. or even better-a partial refund on the tuition fees. or even just any kind of acknowledgement-i think the silence is the worst of all!
but i agree-i think it will affect mental health for a long time. i feel like i'm going to be paranoid about germs for years to come
