Sour Cream Cookies
4 2/3 cups sugar
½ pound butter
½ pound shortening
7 eggs
1 pint sour cream
7 cups flour, not sifted
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and add sour cream. Beat in dry ingredients. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
These cookies are delicious frosted or plain.
