Preacher Cake
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup nuts
1 20 ounce can crushed pineapple
frosting recipe follows
Combine dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients mixing thoroughly. Pour
in to a greased 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
Frost with the following frosting.
Frosting
1 8 ounce package cream cheese softened
1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
Beat together all ingredients until mixture is of spreading consistency.
