My Grandma’s Cranberry Salad

My Grandma’s Cranberry Salad

1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries

1 lg can crushed pineapple (drained)

2 lg pkgs cherry jello

1 cup pecans, (optional), chopped

1 cup celery, chopped, (about 2 stalks)

2 oranges with peel,

2 apples with peel.

Crush the cranberries in a food grinder or in a food processor. Mash well. Grind pecans, celery, apples and the oranges.

Prepare jello as directed on the packages. Use the reserved pineapple juice along with the cold water.

Add rest of ingredients with the jello.

Place mixture in a 9 by 13 inch pan or in a large jello mold. If not sweet enough, granulated sugar may be added to taste. Let chill in the refrigerator. The salad is best if chilled overnight. Enjoy.
