Maple Baked Onions

Maple Baked Onions

Country

I created this side dish to make use of the great maple syrup we have

here in Vermont. My family loves this recipe, and it's so easy to

prepare.

SERVINGS: 8-10

CATEGORY: Side Dish

METHOD: Baked

TIME: Prep: 10 min. Bake: 40 min.

Ingredients:

6 large sweet onions, sliced 1/2 inch thick

1/3 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions:

Layer onions in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Combine

syrup and butter; pour over onions. Bake, uncovered, at 425° for

40-45 minutes or until tender. Yield: 8-10 servings.
