Italian Baked Chicken
2 pounds chicken
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Place chicken, skin-side down, in an ungreased shallow baking pan; pour butter on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes; turn chicken over and bake 20 minutes longer. Pour tomato sauce on top; sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder. Bake for 20 minutes, or until tender and juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork.
Makes 4 servings.
